The Export Plastic Program brings Brazilian diversity in plastic housewares products to ASD Las Vegas Variety & Value Show

The Export Plastic Program brings, for the fourth time, the best in plastic housewares from Brazil to ASD LV Variety & Value Show, held from July 31 to August June 03 in Las Vegas, USA.

Brazilian plastic housewares are known for both their quality and diversity. Eight manufacturers from Brazil will be presenting their assortment of plastic housewares.

The Export Plastic Program has about 70 member companies. 40 of them specializing in plastic housewares. Together, these companies export to more than 50 countries in Europe, North America, South America and Africa for an export volume of US$ 36 million in 2010, a 12,5% increase when compared to 2009.

About the Export Plastic Program

The Export Plastic Program was created in December 2003 through collaboration between the Brazilian integrated plastic supply chain (ranked among the 10 largest in the world and renowned for its high technology as well as the quality of its human resources) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Under the coordination of the Brazilian Plastic Institute (INP), the Export Plastic Program seeks to promote the export of finished plastic products by encouraging Brazilian plastic converter industries to substantially develop and expand their business overseas. For buyer’s market, that support means more quality as a supplier, better answer to the demands and specifications, knowledge about local culture and meeting deadlines.

Cobrirel: Cobrirel is a company that operates in the household utilities markets in Brazil, in addition to producing plastic components for the electro-electronics, automotive, telecommunications and home appliances industries, among others. The company began its activities in 1972 and since 1989, started to strongly operate in the household utilities market. Kos: Kos Acrylics is part of a business group that has more than 40 years. With new product launches on the market more than seven years. Kors carries a complete line of top quality products divided in five categories: tableware, kitchenware, hotel & restaurant, giftware and promotional, which advanced designs, made entirely acrylic.

Oky Replasmac: Is a plastic injection company that has been operating in the technical parts market for 20 years. It developed the Oky brand for the domestic appliance area, with the objective of innovating and transforming common products into special pieces. It operates in four specific areas (appliances, lighting, gardening and design), though the application of details and blending transparencies and colors, new solutions and practically.

Schwanke: founded in 1951, it’s located in the South of Brazil. It manufactures plastic cleaning housewares and nonwoven products from natural and synthetic fibers.
