Design, Sustainability and Diversity in Brazilian Converted Plastic at Ambiente 2020

In the Year that the event makes a “Focus On Design” from Brazil, Think Plastic Brazil will put together 17 manufacturers at Hall 12.1 – Stand B50, with a wide range of products

Seventeen Brazilian manufacturers will feature high quality, diversity and sustainability in products for several Houseware lines, at the world’s most important consumer goods trade fair: Ambiente 2020, to be held from February 7 – 11,  2020 at Frankfurt am Main, in Frankfurt, Germany. Among Think Plastic Brazil’s participating companies exhibiting at the show are Crippa, Indústria Bandeirante, Jaguar Plásticos, São Bernardo, Simonaggio, Stolf, Metaltru, Vasart, Termolar, Plasútil, Lolly Baby, Sanremo, Botafogo, MTA, Oliveira, Plasvale and Vemplast. Another 6 companies will take part of the International Immersion Program, with a cultural and research visit to Germany’s top stores and a guided tour through the event: Arthi, Koisas de Kozinha, Plásticos Rainha, Plast Leo, Martinazzo e Vouga Décor.


Think Plastic Brazil is an export promotion project for the Brazilian plastic industry, promoted by INP (National Plastic Institute) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Export figures

Germany is the twelve largest importer of Processed Plastic from Brazil with around 2% of share in volume (almost 5 thousand tons – 2018* – around U$D 20 million – 2018*). Regarding the same time range, Brazil imported 24 thousand tons of processed plastic from the country, a total of U$D 237 million*. The country is the seventh largest exporter to Brazil in the segment (7% Market Share).



Five Brazilian companies participating were approved by the Environment Fair Committee to compose the select group of producers with the “Ethical Style Guide” label: Jaguar Plásticos; Lolly Baby; Metaltru; Plasvale and Termolar.

The Online Guide covers all product groups and brings visitors to companies that manufacture products sustainably and under socially responsible conditions, helping them come to a better evaluation of the products offered.

Companies are entitled to use the stamp referred to in the year of the event’s edition in their communications. Check out the selected products below:

Jaguar Plásticos – Eco Nature Line

Committed to sustainability and the future of the next generations, Jaguar Plásticos has an exclusive line known as Eco Nature, which recycles the raw materials of the production processes. The result is a high quality, shiny and odorless product.

An efficient process that contributes to the circular economy while maintaining awareness of natural resources.

Lolly Baby – Home Storage, Safety Products and Mugs Line

The company is responsible for reusing 100% of Tritan and Polypropylene in the production of personalized mugs and gifts, as well as organizing boxes containing child safety devices.

Metaltru – All Product Lines

The company does not work with materials or processes that may generate pollutants in the environment. It also gives preference to recyclable raw materials and durable designs.

Plasvale – Ecological Line

The line uses reprocessed plastic materials, seeking to respect the environment through reuse. In-house materials inputs (which are not intended for end products) are transformed into the new line that makes life easier for consumers.

Termolar – All product lines

The company uses 100% recycled steel and plastic components in non-food contact parts to produce thermally insulated bottles, jars, cylinders, bags and boxes.

One of the highlights at Ambiente 2020 will be the launch of the special presentation Focus on Design, featuring outstanding products and detailed insights of current design highlights in a selected country.
