Activities took place this Monday, the 26th, at the company’s headquarters in Criciúma
Canguru Embalagens, member of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastics Institute), celebrated its 55th anniversary with a special party with its employees, throughout this Monday, the 26th, at its headquarters, in Criciúma (SC).
Established as one of the main industries in the flexographic printing sector for films and plastic packaging in Latin America, the Jorge Zanatta Group company celebrated with those who directly contributed to this achievement – its employees –, with activities that involved integration, art and interaction.
The longevity achieved by Canguru is an achievement for few, praised the CEO of Grupo Jorge Zanatta, Leandro Buciani. “We have several studies that indicate that most companies do not reach the age of five in Brazil. Therefore, five and a half decades, in a family business, is a milestone that needs to be celebrated. Over this time, we have grown a lot and were pioneers in several innovations that are now consolidated in our market. We have a history of leadership”, highlights Buciani.
The history of innovation goes back decades, pointed out Caio Zanatta, member of the company’s Board and son of the founder, Jorge Zanatta. “For a long time when the best equipment was European and import costs were impractical, Canguru had the audacity and innovative spirit to develop its own machines. In fact, it was here that the first eight-color flexographic printer in Brazil was created. Innovation has always been very strong, right from the beginning. Later, our research and development team created solutions such as Velcro and 360º zippers, for example, to meet the growing demands of the pet food market. Our quality is recognized internationally and, for this reason, we have large and important clients”, he celebrates.
It is worth mentioning that Canguru is a company with a prominent presence both nationally and internationally. A constant presence in Think Plastic Brazil’s actions, the company has been expanding and diversifying its participation in the foreign market.
