Member of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastics Institute), Vitopel, a global company with almost 40 years of history, presents the V.Seal family, which contains Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films designed to receive cold seal adhesives, a technology that uses pressure-sensitive adhesives to seal packaging without the need for heat.
The adhesive is applied in a register to the surface of the film or paper and, when the package is pressure sealed, it acts like a glue, creating an airtight seal. This process does not require temperature for the sealing process, which can reduce operating costs and increase the longevity of packaging line equipment. It also allows for fast and efficient sealing, suitable for faster packaging lines.
The V.Seal film line provides excellent adhesive anchoring, resulting in an airtight package that ensures product preservation and performance, making it ideal for packaging heat-sensitive products such as chocolates, ice cream and filled cookies. It is a great alternative for high-speed machines as there is no need for heat transfer from the clamps to the packaging for sealing to occur.
Cold seal films are available in transparent, metallic and opaque versions. The V.Seal family also includes films with cold seal release properties, used in laminated packaging with cold seal closure. These films are available with a high gloss or matte visual appearance, meeting different application and shelf appearance needs.

About INP
Founded in 1989, the Brazilian Plastics Institute (INP) emerged amidst the globalization process and the need to make the plastics market more competitive internationally. Its strength and representation are due to the union of the Brazilian Plastics Industry Association (ABIPLAST), the Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (ABIQUIM) and the Synthetic Resins Industry Union of the State of São Paulo (SIRESP).
The goal of the INP, as a sectoral technology entity, is to be the hub of the entire plastics production chain in Brazil. To this end, the entity maintains an extensive workforce qualification program, promotes access to the most modern technologies, especially for small and medium-sized companies, and develops Technical Standards for the manufacture of better quality products.
