The virtual events promoted by Think Plastic Brazil have proven to be important tools for opening businesses and mapping international buyers. We have gathered some of the success cases from the Packaging area in these meetings.
57th Buyer Project Online
With expensive participation of global pet food packaging buyers, the 57th Buyer Project Online, aimed at agribusiness and plastics for all purposes, featured Brazilian companies that are leaders in this segment. We have highlighted a few success cases from the participations:
Copabrás
The company opened a channel with a new Peruvian company, reinforcing the search for new suppliers due to the decision not to buy its packaging locally. The opening of new business possibilities was a surprise, considering the large Peruvian supplier market for pet food packaging.
Mega Embaalgens
Mega Embalagens highlighted the importance of the project provided by Think Plastic and the contacts of international buyers present at the event. “Undoubtedly, the results went beyond expectations, and we continued with post-event negotiations through videoconferences on individual projects, sending samples and making robust quotes,” said Moisés Guidi, the company’s Commercial Coordinator – External Markets.
Virtual Business Rounds
In the Virtual Business Rounds held in 2020, a large meatpacking company met with Brazilian packaging producers. The following are the results:
Two of the largest Latin American companies that produce refrigerated meat on the market, which consume barrier-type packaging, attended 14 meetings with local packaging producers. The companies Valfilm, Videplast, Parnaplast and Descartável are already sending samples to importers.
Buyer 360 Project
Through the program and the new format Buyer 360 Project – which extends the period of contact with international buyers, the company Maxiplast managed to map and is negotiating with two representatives, for the markets of Bolivia and Colombia.
