With a record number of members (24 companies), the converted plastics industry in Brazil, represented internationally by Think Plastic Brazil, participated in Expo Pack Mexico 2022. The show took place on June 14t-17 in Mexico City.

 

“Together, the 24 exhibiting companies held 633 business meetings, generating $1.28 million in revue, with an expectation of an additional $10.9 million in the next 12 months,” said Carlos Moreira, Strategy and Project Planning Manager of Think Plastic Brazil. Contacts obtained included large global companies such as Colgate, Unilever, Danone, Kellogg, and Sanborn’s, among others.

 

The show was featured the participation of companies CANGURU EMBALAGENS, COPOBRAS, CRISTAL EMBALAGENS, DESTAK BIG BAG, EMBALAJES PLASZOM, EMBAQUIM, GDM PLÁSTICOS, GLOBOPLAST, HIPERPACK DESECHABLES, IMPACTA, INPLASUL EMBALAGENS, JAGUAR PLÁSTICOS, PARNAPLAST, PLÁSTICOS NOVEL, PULIT, RAFITEC PROPEX, SOMMAPLAST, SPLACK, VALGROUP (which participated with two group companies), VIDEPLAST EMBALAGENS, VITOPEL, WYDA EMBALAGENS, and ZARAPLAST.

 

“The FCO Group was present with three companies at Expo Pack Mexico, alongside Think Plastic Brazil: GDM Plásticos, Parnaplast, and Embalagens Plaszom, with innovative and sustainable launches such as In Cycle R2R (100% recyclable high-barrier structure) and MOPE (polyethylene film mono oriented) among others, which aroused great interest from the public at the event, as well as requests for developments with Mexican companies. They These surprising results, with good contacts and great business possibilities,” said Wagner Delarov, from the FCO Group.

 

“We export to more than 23 countries and here at Expo Pack Mexico, we are continuing to carry out our eco-sustainable project, such as the specific line of recycled products,” said Waine Agostinho, from Jaguar Plásticos.

 

Meeting at the Embassy

 

Prior to the show, on June 15, Think Plastic Brazil held the First Mexico-Brazil Meeting of the Packaging Industry, alongside the Embassy of Brazil in Mexico. The event featured lectures by His Excellency Mr. Fernando Coimbra, Brazilian Ambassador to Mexico; Carlos Moreira, Strategy and Project Planning Manager at Think Plastic Brazil; Minister Luis Fernando Godoy Rueda, General Director of Data Analysis and Economic Intelligence of the Secretariat of Economy of Mexico; Karla Gonzáles Ignorosa and Edmundo Montes de Oca, from the General Board of Global Economic Impulse at the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs; engineer Aldimir Torres Arenas, President of ANIPAC – National Association of the Plastics Industry of Mexico; and Hiram Cruz, General Director of AMEE, Mexican Container and Packaging Association.
