From April 14 to 16, Think Plastic Brazil will coordinate a Brazilian delegation at CirclePack, Chile’s premier international packaging trade show and one of the most relevant events in the Southern Cone and Latin America. The event will take place at Espacio Riesco in Santiago, representing a strategic opportunity to strengthen the presence of Brazilian companies in the international market.
Think Plastic Brazil is a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute).
Leading a Brazilian delegation at CirclePack for the third time, Think Plastic Brazil arrives at the 2026 edition with its largest contingent ever: 32 confirmed companies gathered in a 150-square-meter pavilion. Brazil will hold the position of Guest of Honor, reinforcing the national industry’s leadership and increasing the visibility of Brazilian companies among strategic buyers and partners in the region.
The history of previous editions justifies the scale of this investment. In 2022, 27 participating companies generated USD 1.25 million in immediate business and USD 10.465 million in expectations for the following 12 months, exceeding all four established goals. In 2024, even with a smaller delegation, the portfolio surpassed every projected indicator. For 2026, official goals include 480 business meetings, USD 800,000 in immediate business, and USD 3.2 million in additional expectations—numbers that, historically, are considered a floor rather than a ceiling.
The 32 companies arriving in Santiago represent the complete converted plastics industry chain. This sector in Brazil comprises 14,630 companies, employs 404,626 people, generates R$ 165.79 billion annually, and exports USD 1.38 billion in plastic manufactures. Think Plastic Brazil’s packaging exports to Chile reached USD 48.7 million in 2025, a 17.1% growth in a year when the overall portfolio saw a slight decline, moving Chile to second place in the ranking of member destinations. Some companies in the delegation are going to Santiago not only to exhibit but to open local operations, marking this edition as a milestone beyond traditional trade fair results.
“Participation in CirclePack, especially with Brazil as the guest country of honor, expands business opportunities and reinforces the international recognition of the Brazilian converted plastics industry,” says Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO. “We are bringing companies that combine production capacity, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability, strengthening our brands’ presence in the international market.”
The fair brings together trends, technologies, and solutions for different economic sectors, consolidating itself as an essential meeting point for the packaging industry in the region. Additionally, it serves as a strategic space to discuss global challenges, such as food safety, waste reduction, and meeting growing global demand.
