New investment reinforces the company’s expansion strategy in the Americas and consolidates its presence in the Brazilian BOPP film market.

Oben Group, a global leader in high-performance packaging solutions, announces the signing of an agreement to acquire a new state-of-the-art 12-meter-wide BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film production line, considered one of the most productive and efficient in the world, destined for the Brazilian market.

Oben Group is a member of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute).

Following the successful integration of Terphane and Vitopel do Brasil into Oben Group’s operations over the past two years, this new investment responds to the growing need to expand large-scale manufacturing capacity for the Brazilian market. With an annual production capacity of approximately 94,000 metric tons, the new line will significantly expand the company’s manufacturing platform, further strengthening service, flexibility, and supply reliability for customers in Brazil and the Southern Cone.

The new investment reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth in the Americas. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the new line will increase production efficiency and support the growing demand for high-quality flexible packaging solutions in the region.

“Oben Group demonstrates, once again, its capacity to invest in innovation and technology to drive the evolution of the packaging sector. It is a movement that strengthens the entire industry,” states Carlos Moreira, Executive Director of the INP and CPO at Think Plastic Brazil.

The new line destined for the Brazilian market is part of Oben Group’s global expansion plan, following the announcement made in February 2025 regarding the acquisition of another 12-meter BOPP line for Mexico. Together, these investments reinforce the company’s position among industry leaders, with advanced large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
