Between September 3 and 5, 2026, Brazil will attend Expo Nacional Ferretera in Guadalajara, Mexico, through Think Plastic Brazil — a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics sector in the internationalization process for target markets, created through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute). Marking its fifth consecutive participation in the fair, the program will gather 16 Brazilian companies to present their converted plastic products to buyers, distributors, and potential commercial partners.

Consolidated as a major business hub for construction, electrical materials, hardware, and retail, Expo Nacional Ferretera brings together more than 1,200 exhibitors from 11 nations and an audience exceeding 25,000 visitors. The event acts as an aggregator of strategic partnerships, connecting manufacturers and distributors with global buyers, while boosting commercial relationships and prospecting new business avenues across Latin America.

In the 2025 edition, Think Plastic Brazil’s participation featured 16 Brazilian companies and resulted in US$ 135,000 in immediate business, alongside a US$ 2.39 million projection for the following 12 months. Over the three-day event, Expo Nacional Ferretera received more than 58,000 visitors.

“Mexico is a gateway to all of North America and one of the most relevant economies for Brazilian manufactured goods. Our expectation is to expand the presence of our program’s companies across distribution channels serving not only the Mexican market, but the entire region,” says Carlos Moreira, Executive Director of INP and CPO at Think Plastic Brazil.
