Argentina Mission takes members to Buenos Aires and closes more than 250 thousand dollars in business 

Commercial Mission

The Argentina Mission, promoted by ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) in partnership with Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil and INP (Brazilian Plastics Institute), took place on August 21 and 22, at the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires.   

Nine Think Plastic Brazil member companies attended the event, which hosted lectures and business rounds, creating opportunities for training and networking. The participating companies that are part of the portfolio were: Alfamec/Floridis, Dello, Evo, Látex São Roque, Maxeb, Maxcril, Polibras, Schwanke and Usual Brinquedos.  

The opening of the Argentina Mission included welcoming remarks from the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires, with the presence of Counselor Leonardo Valverde. Daniela Ornelas, Market Development Specialist at Think Plastic Brazil, represented the portfolio at the event, participating in lectures and strategic meetings.  

For Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO, the Argentine Mission represents the strengthening of the internationalization of Brazilian industries in Latin America. “This Mission stood out for the connections made at the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires, the deals closed and the information shared during the exclusive lectures,” says Moreira.  

Roger Planas Buil, Dello’s Export and Import Manager, considered the Argentina Mission to be very productive and to have high quality in terms of customer selection. In his case, the meetings took place with players in the stationery sector, which has a strong presence in Argentina. 

The results achieved with the portfolio’s participation in the Argentina Mission totaled 75 new contacts, 85 meetings, US$ 253,500 in business closed at the event and another US$ 1,878,500 in expected business for the next 12 months.
