“Big Five fair, held in Dubai, is one of the great moments for contact with civil construction buyers from the Middle East and other markets”, explains Valéria di Giunta, Astra foreign trade manager. The company knows well what it means, after all, it counts on a 20-year experience selling to the Middle East, with continuous exports to Arab Emirates and Kuwait. But Astra products many times are redistributed in the region, known as Eastern hub, reason why the company now seeks to create lines appropriate to these markets’ consumers. “Many of our lines do not remain in the Arab Emirates or Kuwait, since the region is a pool for other countries. This is our biggest challenge: working with products that will stay in their destination. That is why we invest in actions turned to leverage sales along with Think Plastic Brazil, like participation in fairs, specific surveys to try to understand the potential and other more specific actions”, adds di Giunta.
