Brazilian companies associated with Think Plastic Brazil participated for the second time in Big 5 Global, one of the Middle East’s largest trade fairs focused on the construction and infrastructure sectors, held from November 24 to 27 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The event generated USD 50,000 in immediate business deals and USD 670,000 in projected business for the next 12 months.
Think Plastic Brazil is a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the Brazilian Plastic Institute (INP).
“Our second participation in Big 5 Global in Dubai demonstrates Think Plastic Brazil’s ongoing commitment to expanding the presence of Brazilian products in the Middle East and in the North and East African markets. The results attest to the success of our strategy and the quality of Brazilian companies’ solutions in the global construction and infrastructure landscape. This fair is an essential showcase that offers us global visibility and opens doors to a diverse and strategic international audience,” states Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute (INP) Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
Participation in Big 5 Global, one of the sector’s largest and most recognized trade fairs, offered significant global visibility, allowing the five participating Brazilian companies to expand their brands by presenting their solutions in civil construction, finishing, and geosynthetics to a diverse international audience. The companies were: Atlas Pincéis, Azul Pack, Enerbras, Grupo Force, and Krona.
Think Plastic Brazil’s first participation in the trade fair, in 2024, resulted in 96 meetings, 92 new contacts, and USD 750,000 in projected business generated from the event for the attending associate companies.
The Middle East and Africa are the regions that have shown the highest demand for Brazilian products. Consequently, the portfolio has been increasingly expanding contacts between Brazilian companies and local buyers for the expansion and consolidation of Brazil’s excellence in the sector, aiming to become a benchmark for quality in purchasing countries.
