IPPE (International Production & Processing Expo) 2024 took place between January 30 and February 1 in Atlanta, USA. The event was attended by Brazilian companies Rafitec-Propex and FCO Group, both members of Think Plastic Brazil, an initiative supported by ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (National Plastics Institute), which presented their products to the global food market.

During the two-day event, the FCO Group made more than 30 contacts with potential clients, with the prospect of doing more than US$1 million in new business by the end of 2024. “The fair was very important for the FCO Group to gain more knowledge about the North American animal protein market,” said the executive. “We made excellent contacts with key companies in this segment, both in the United States and Central America, which represent an excellent growth opportunity for the group,” said Bruno Cioato Polidor, export manager at Parnaplast (a company that is part of the group).

Rafitec-Propex closed the event with prospects of US$ 2 million in future business for this year, resulting only from its participation in IPPE, and was certain that its participation was one of the most strategic of the year. “As this is the world’s largest trade fair in the poultry segment, as well as being exhibitors, we were also able to visit our customers and reaffirm that successful partnerships transcend geographical boundaries,” said Jorge Pessoto, the company’s commercial manager.

IPPE is the largest annual event dedicated to innovation in the poultry, meat and feed industries worldwide. Bringing together the main players in the sector, it serves as a platform for buyers and sellers to explore the latest launches of technologies, products and services. More than 120 countries take part in the fair, which takes place annually and this year alone brought together approximately 28,000 visitors from 1,180 companies.
