As part of the projects developed during the IV World Plastic Connection Summit®, the Buyers Project International Show is an initiative of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the process of internationalization for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute), connecting 41 companies from 16 different countries interested in Brazilian products.

Held on April 9 and 10, as part of the largest internationalization event in the converted plastics sector, the business rounds were held exclusively for Think Plastic Brazil members. At the end of the IV World Plastic Connection Summit®, companies had already closed US$ 7.6 million in deals. Over the next 12 months, the expectation is for another US$ 46.9 million.

The IV World Plastic Connection Summit® brought together 1,128 people during the three-day event, with 428 companies registered for in-person participation and 308 in attendance. 9,562 companies registered for online participation, which had 24,148 accesses on the platform.

Among the countries participating in the Buyer Project were South Africa, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, the United States, Ghana, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay. There were 172 Brazilian companies members of Think Plastic Brazil that participated in the meetings with importers, strengthening internationalization in various markets and opening up opportunities in markets where they did not yet operate.

“These results show the importance of the IV World Plastic Connection Summit® for the sector. We have put together an incredible program that is not limited to the first day of the event, but includes a series of activities designed and planned to strengthen the converted plastics market, to show buyers globally that our production stands out with the set of initiatives we apply here, meeting international standards and investing in creativity, innovation, design and ESG”, celebrates Carlos Moreira, Executive Director of INP and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
