Altogether, 54 companies registered to participate in the 2023 World Plastic Connection Award, whose objective is to acknowledge the merit and encourage the disclosure of results of the Brazilian processed plastic industry in its exporter ambit.  The award counts on four categories divided by level of maturity (Beginners, Mature, and Experts) and type of vertical (Retail or Technical Plastics).

In this edition, the Award’s main novelty was the opening of registrations to companies not associated to Think Plastic Brazil program. All participants were given their cases and design projects about internationalization, certification, and investments in market were audited by an independent company. They were evaluated by a panel of judges made up of outstanding professionals with knowledge of the internationalization process; government in all its spheres, and the sector researchers, among others.

The first, second, and third places in each category received a trophy and can use the award logos and information in their communications without restrictions.

The last category of the day, the World Plastic Global Design Award rewards companies investing in original design of products and packaging, actions and projects related to sustainable design and ecodesign. They are:
