Color Trend Series

LAGOA

Lagoa portrays the Pantanal during its flood season, when much of the plain is transformed into a vast mirror of water. The greenish-blue hue captures the reflection of the sky, isolated treetops, and birds such as the jabiru that punctuate the horizon, forming temporary bays where fish and mammals gather. It is the color of a mosaic of flooded ecosystems that welcomes species from the Amazon, the Chaco, and the Cerrado—a phenomenon that occurs on this scale only in Brazil.
