Interplast will have an exclusive talk by Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO

Strategic Alliances

The partnership between Interplast and Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions that support the converted plastic products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastics Institute), will bring strategic actions during the event.

Interplast will take place between August 13th and 16th, in Joinville, and will focus on presenting the sector’s technological innovations in machines, systems and raw materials and fostering connections between companies and suppliers.

The event features a robust program of lectures and workshops. Highlights include a lecture by Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO, on the topic “At what point in the internationalization process do companies in the plastics sector invest more in innovation?”

“We have already established a series of partnerships with the main fairs in Brazil in our segment, with organizers who truly want to add value for exhibitors. This presentation at Interplast highlights great opportunities for international growth and will show how we can support companies with an unprecedented cost-benefit ratio,” says Moreira.

In addition to the lecture, Think Plastic Brazil will have an exclusive stand with the presence of our Consultant and Specialist in Foreign Trade – Richard de Assis, to talk to all exhibitors interested in selling or increasing their sales to the international market. “We will also actively support all importers visiting the fair, both those invited by Think Plastic Brazil’s base and those who come spontaneously”, he says.

At the stand, Think Plastic Brazil will also present the World Plastic Connection Summit, the largest international event in the converted plastics sector, which will have its 4th edition between April 8 and 10, 2025, with the theme “Converted plastic from Brazil: coloring the world with design, innovation and sustainability”. Registration is free and open; just visit the official website.

The World Plastic Connection Summit features an ecosystem of 8 projects, including Color Trend, an international guide to color trends with a focus and research from a Brazilian perspective, entirely focused on the converted plastics industry. The material provides a complete chart that will guide the sector in the year following its publication and will be presented to visitors at the Think Plastic Brazil stand at Interplast.

About INP

Founded in 1989, the Brazilian Plastics Institute (INP) emerged amidst the globalization process and the need to make the plastics market more competitive internationally. Its strength and representation are due to the union of the Brazilian Plastics Industry Association (ABIPLAST), the Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (ABIQUIM) and the Synthetic Resins Industry Union of the State of São Paulo (SIRESP).

The objective of INP, as a sectoral technology entity, is to be the focal point of the entire plastics production chain in Brazil. To this end, the entity maintains an extensive workforce qualification program, promotes access to the most modern technologies, especially for small and medium-sized companies, and develops Technical Standards for the manufacture of better quality products.
