From September 9–12, two Brazilian companies associated with Think Plastic Brazil — a portfolio of solutions that supports the internationalization of the country’s converted plastics sector, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute) — participated in Iplas 2025 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Cristal Master and Multicolor established more than 70 new contacts and held 77 meetings. Over the next 12 months, 17 new deals are expected, totaling an estimated US$900,000.

“The event creates valuable opportunities by connecting companies with entrepreneurs and agents who support their growth and expansion into new markets, fostering innovation, technology, and sustainability, strategic pillars that we work on within our sector,” notes Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.

At booth 97, Cristal Master showcased its innovations and solutions for Iplas 2025. “The fair offered real business opportunities, and we even managed to move forward with the prospect of a possible distributor for Ecuador. I also gave a presentation on ‘The Use of Plastic Additives in the Recycled Plastics Industry,’ which drew strong interest from attendees. The Ecuadorian market is still somewhat lacking in access to new technologies, so visitors were impressed by the wide variety of additives we presented. We also made several new strategic contacts that will strengthen our presence in the market,” celebrates Eric Anderson, Export Manager.

Meanwhile, at booth 93, Multicolor reported a positive experience. “Especially since it was our first time at the event and also our first step toward entering the Ecuadorian market. We were able to present our solutions, better understand local demands, and build valuable connections. We are very optimistic about the opportunities ahead and confident that this is just the beginning of a promising journey in Ecuador,” highlights Pedro Fontana, the company’s Latin America Sales Representative.

Earlier this year, Think Plastic Brazil signed an agreement with ASEPLAS (the Ecuadorian Plastics Association) to exchange information on regulatory frameworks, local legislation, and industry best practices, seeking to strengthen the industry in both countries. In April, the association supported the 4th World Plastic Connection Summit®, the largest internationalization event for the converted plastics sector in the Americas. At the trade fair, companies offered dedicated spaces for business meetings, boosting the sector’s competitiveness in the global market. Iplas 2025 showcases important options for a sustainable industry, featuring advanced technologies in raw materials, supplies, equipment, and machinery.
