Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the process of internationalization to target markets, implemented through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute), invited five international journalists to participate in the IV World Plastic Connection Summit®. During the event, the group visited Brazilian companies and learned firsthand about best practices in design, sustainability, and innovation.
Composed of journalists working in different countries, the international press was represented by Anne Marie Mohan, from Packaging World Magazine, in the United States; Ginu Joseph, from Modern Plastics Global, a publication operating in Germany, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries; Marcela Castro, from Plastics Technology, in Mexico; Maria Beatriz Correia Santos, from Sustainable Plastics, in the United Kingdom; and Yudy Garzon, from Plastico.com, in Colombia.
The journalists visited the manufacturing plants of Embaquim, Fuplastic, Suprecolor, Valgroup, and Videplast. The Image Promotion initiative strengthens the industry’s presence and reputation with the international press, buyers, and partners. Marcela Castro, who writes for Plastics Technology Mexico, one of the most important industry publications in Latin America, highlighted the quality of the event and the positive impact of Brazilian initiatives.
“I am very grateful for Think Plastic Brazil’s invitation to participate in this major international event, where we were not only able to gain insight into market and industry trends, but also to visit the Fuplastic plant, which was very inspiring for all of us who love sustainability in the plastics industry,” said Marcela Castro.
The Image Promotion initiative aims to strengthen Brazil’s image as a benchmark in design, innovation, and environmental responsibility in the plastics industry, demonstrating to the world that our competitive advantage lies in the intelligence of our products and the social responsibility of our companies.
“Image Promotion is essential to highlighting Brazilian production in the international plastics market. By hosting journalists and opinion leaders from various countries, we demonstrate the strength and potential of our sector in a strategic and qualified manner, reinforcing the investment we make in international certifications, best practices, innovation, and technology,” says Carlos Moreira, INP Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
Through relationships with opinion leaders and the promotion of immersive experiences, the program generates qualified visibility for members and the sector as a whole in international markets, engaging with and impacting various levels of the production chain.
