Pack Expo Chicago welcomes 24 Brazilian companies members of Think Plastic Brazil 

International Fair

This year’s edition of the international Pack Expo fair will take place in Chicago, USA, with the confirmed presence of 24 Brazilian companies members of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute). 

The fair is held biennially by PMMI, the American association related to the packaging industry, and is the most important event for the packaging segment in the Americas. In its 26th edition, Pack Expo Chicago stands out as the most important fair related to packaging in North America, bringing together more than 45 thousand visitors in a pavilion with more than 116 thousand m² of exhibition area and housing more than 2500 exhibitors.  

In partnership with ApexBrasil, Think Plastic Brazil will present Brazilian companies that produce rigid and flexible packaging in its 10th participation in the event. The Think Plastic Brazil stand will be in the West Hall, stand W25047, and it is possible to register for the event free of charge with the portfolio code: 28X59. The portfolio includes 22 companies in its stand. In addition to these, Valgroup, also a member, will be present at the fair in its own stand (W24090) representing two manufacturing units.

The Think Plastic Brazil members present at Pack Expo Chicago are: ALUMÍNIOS MELLO, BOPP FILM VITOPEL DO BRASIL, CANGURU, DESTAK BIG BAG, DISPAFILM, ECOBOXES – THINK DIFFERENT!, EMBAQUIM, GDM PLÁSTxICOS, GRUPO COPOBRAS, INPLAC, INPLASUL, NANOX, PACKING GROUP, PARNAPLAST, PLÁSTICOS NOVEL, POLO FILMS, REPLAS, SPILTAG USA, TERPHANE, THOMRISS, VALGROUP, WYDA AND ZARAPLAST.  

CANGURU: With five decades of presence in the Brazilian market, Canguru Embalagens will be presenting the main highlights of its line of solutions for the pet food and hygiene sectors at Pack Expo – Chicago. At its stand, the company will be presenting high-barrier products, including the Nano Pack line, made up of 100% recyclable packaging with high resistance to grease and moisture. 

DISPAFILM: Dispafilm has confirmed its participation in Pack Expo International 2024, where it will present its entire line of PVC films. As a sales leader in Brazil, with massive distribution in Latin America and Angola, the company has an impressive production capacity of 2,500 tons/month, making it one of the largest in the sector. The trade convention will provide an opportunity to strengthen relations with international partners and reinforce its presence in the market.  

EMBAQUIM: Embaquim is a pioneer in the production of bag-in-box in Brazil. With experience, creativity and innovation, it offers flexible packaging solutions in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Embaquim produces bags from 0.2 gallons to 300 gallons. Its portfolio includes plastic reels and bags and a wide variety of spout and cap options. The manufacturing process is fully automated, using 100% virgin and non-toxic raw materials. ISO 9001:2008 certification by BVQI, FSSC 22.000 and Ecovadis guarantee full traceability, extensively tested in their physical-chemical characteristics and use simulation.  

GDM PLÁSTICOS: FCO Brasil Group is presenting a diversified and sustainable portfolio for the North American market, including 100% recyclable high-barrier thermoformed films. The group, which operates eleven plastic packaging converting plants and a logistics unit, will showcase its line of sustainable packaging films and products during the upcoming edition of Pack Expo Chicago. Among its diverse line of technical films, MOPE stands out, a polyethylene film with improved efficiency, produced with special resins in a high-tech process that consists of stretching the film up to a total of ten times immediately after extrusion.  

GRUPO COPOBRAS: The Group is a leader in the segments in which it operates, present in people’s lives for over 50 years. Its brands include Incoplast, a leader in flexible packaging, with a focus on the pet food segment, and Copobras, which offers solutions in recyclable disposables. It has 13 plants installed in 6 Brazilian states, operating nationally and internationally in several countries.

PACKING GROUP: Founded in 1986 in Valinhos, São Paulo, Packing Group began its journey producing valve bags for fertilizers, plastic tarpaulins and films for the agricultural sector.
