Forty technical visits to 23 converted plastics companies in four Brazilian states marked the program of the IV World Plastic Connection Summit®, promoted by Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the plastic-converted products sector in the process of internationalization to target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute).

The initiative, considered one of the most strategic of the event, brought international buyers closer to the Brazilian industry, promoting connections, exchanges of experiences and real business opportunities.

Technical visits maximize transparency and trust between international buyers and portfolio companies, facilitating the assessment of production capabilities, innovation, and commitment to sustainable practices and governance (ESG) in the Brazilian market. Through this initiative, international partners gained firsthand knowledge of the companies’ facilities, manufacturing processes, and technological advantages.

“The visits represent one of the highlights of the IV World Plastic Connection Summit®. The best way to show the international market that we are innovative, creative, and committed to sustainability and ESG best practices—increasingly valued by conscious consumers—is to go beyond simply displaying products: it’s to take the buyer to the factory and allow them to see, with their own eyes, how Brazilian products are made, with safety and technology working hand in hand,” highlights Carlos Moreira, INP Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.

For the 4th World Plastic Connection Summit®, Brazil welcomed 41 importers from 16 countries, including South Africa, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, USA, Ghana, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay. These visits help solidify the event as a major international business hub in Latin America, making the World Plastic Connection Summit® the largest industry event in the region.
