With US$86.8 million in sales to the region in the first eight months of the year, the program is leveraging its 6th consecutive appearance at the fair to expand business in the Southern Cone.
From September 16-19, 2025, Think Plastic Brazil will lead a delegation of 38 Brazilian companies to Envase International Fair, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Think Plastic Brazil is a portfolio of solutions that supports the internationalization of Brazil’s converted plastics sector in target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute). Supported by ApexBrasil, this initiative marks the program’s sixth consecutive participation in the event.
Focused on the packaging and industrial supplies chain, Envase is one of the most important trade fairs in the Southern Cone. In 2023, the event welcomed more than 15,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors from 11 countries. In 2025, the Think Plastic Brazil collective booth will be located in Hall 5 (booths 527, 529, and 532). The initiative aims to strengthen the Brazilian industry’s presence in the Latin American market by fostering business opportunities, qualified networking, and showcasing the innovative solutions of participating companies.
“Envase is a strategic hub for the packaging sector in the Southern Cone. Our participation reflects the strength and diversity of Brazilian solutions, opening doors to new business opportunities across the region,” comments Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.

ARGENTINA AS AN EXPORT MARKET
Brazil is the leading supplier of plastic packaging to Argentina. In 2024 alone, exports totaled US$51,058,981 FOB, while imports reached US$16,236,673 FOB, according to Comex Stat-MDIC.
Exports from companies in the Think Plastic Brazil portfolio to Argentina totaled US$86.8 million in the first eight months of 2025, consolidating the country as the program’s leading export destination with a 29.43% share of the total US$295 million exported. This result, which is nearly stable compared to the US$88.4 million recorded in the same period of 2024, becomes even more significant when considering that other major markets registered declines of over 14%. Argentina not only maintained its leading position but also increased its relative importance, with its share rising from 27.50% to almost 30% of our total exports.
This sixth participation in the Envase fair, scheduled for the second half of September 2025 in Buenos Aires, continues a strategy that began in 2009 and was consolidated in the 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023 editions. Think Plastic Brazil’s track record at Envase shows tangible results: portfolio companies participating in the last five editions held over 3,331 business meetings, generating US$93.6 million in total sales. This figure includes US$7.8 million in immediate sales and a forecast of US$85.7 million for the coming months. With an investment of just US$275,000, the initiative achieved a return 339 times greater than the amount invested, demonstrating the fair’s effectiveness as a business platform
