Think Plastic Brazil — a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics sector in the internationalization process, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute) — marked its presence with 12 Brazilian companies at The Inspired Home Show, held from March 10 to 12 at McCormick Place in Chicago, United States.
The event, considered the premier housewares trade show in North America, brought together retailers, distributors, and importers seeking innovative products and functional home solutions. Throughout the fair, the Brazilian companies generated 97 new contacts, conducted 140 business meetings, closed US$ 351,000 in immediate sales, and projected US$ 2.095 million in business for the next 12 months.
“The Brazilian participation at The Inspired Home Show showcased the strength and competitiveness of our converted plastics industry. We are bringing products to the international market that combine design, functionality, and sustainability, and the results demonstrate the direct impact of Brazil’s presence at high-level strategic events,” states Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
The Brazilian space featured companies such as Bettanin, Brustec, Floridis, Grupo Force, Kapazi, Mueller, Ou, Plasvale, Sanremo, São Bernardo, Termolar, and UZ Utilidades, which presented solutions in housewares, organization, cleaning, and childcare. The evaluation of the participation was highly positive: 41.67% of the companies rated the experience as “very satisfactory” and 58.33% as “satisfactory,” with 91.67% expressing interest in returning to the next edition of the show. In total, 12 evaluation forms were completed, reinforcing the effectiveness of the initiative as a platform for internationalization and business generation.
Think Plastic Brazil’s participation in The Inspired Home Show consolidated Brazil’s image as a global supplier of innovative and functional home solutions , expanded strategic connections with major international players, and strengthened the presence of Brazilian companies in the North American market, demonstrating the competitiveness, quality, and innovation capacity of the national converted plastics industry.
