This monthly follow-up and a record of the actions in the year will be compiled in a yearly publication, the Yearbook 2021, to be launched during the World Plastic Connection Summit. The results of this year first half are among the data presented:
In the first half of 2021 (January to July), the 142 exporting companies of Think Plastic Brazil (total 14.52% higher against the same period in 2020), among the 182 supported, exported US$205.1 million, corresponding to 79,460 tons of products, respectively 42.85% more in FOB value and 63.8% more in weight, when compared to 2020. Ninety two destinations received Brazilian converted plastic products, with 68.32% of the total concentrated in 5 main markets: Argentina; United States; Chile; Colombia and Paraguay.
Influenced by the outcome of Think Plastic Brazil institutional actions in the period, associate companies recorded 42.86% increase in companies with new market openings; 9.09% of new products exported; 20.83% of companies with rise in international sales; 3.37% of companies expanding export destinations and 16.67% of new destinations reached.
