Brazilian Housewares products target U.S. and European markets

Think Plastic Brazil

The 2020 releases of the Brazilian transformed plastics sector for Housewares prove that design, sustainable solutions and product diversity are at the focus of industries in order to conquer international markets.
In 2019, Think Plastic Brazil participants in the Housewares vertical announced expectations of almost $10 million in business from the trade shows Ambiente (in Frankfurt, Germany) and Home & Housewares (now The Inspired Home Show**, in Chicago, United States), the two main global events in the area. In 2020, the 17 participating companies of Ambiente announced deals of around $570,000 with expectations exceeding $3.65 million in the following twelve months. The European show focused on Brazilian design, with an exhibition of five prominent domestic studios (Rodrigo Almeida, Bianca Barbato, Brunno Jahara, Sergio J. Matos, and Rain).
Ambiente 2020 was also the first edition in which Brazilian companies won the Ethical Style Guide seal, a certification stating that manufacturers’ products and actions follow sustainable directions. Jaguar Plásticos, Lolly Baby, Metaltru, Plasvale and Termolar were the companies approved by the show’s Committee and won the right to use the seal during the event.
In the Brazilian pavilion, highlights included innovations and renowned products of companies such as Indústria Bandeirante, Jaguar Plásticos, São Bernardo, Metaltru, Vasart, Termolar, Plasútil, Sanremo, Botafogo, MTA, Plasvale, and Vemplast.

In addition to investments in the European market through Ambiente 2020, manufacturers of Housewares products seek to increase market share in the U.S. and have prepared product lines dedicated to the second largest import market for processed plastics in Brazil (Americans are responsible for 13% of the value exported of these products by Brazil).
In all, thirty-two companies invested this year in commercial and image promotion actions related to new releases and products established in Housewares for the U.S. market: Alklin, Arthi, Bettanin, Botafogo, Condor, Crippa, Dello, Fame, Floridis, Indústria Bandeirante, Injetemp, Jaguar Plásticos, Lolly Baby, Maxeb, Metaltru, MTA, Nitronplast, Oliveira, , Pabovi, Plasnew, Plasútil, Plasvale, Sanremo, Santana, São Bernardo, Simonaggio, Stolf, Termolar, Vasart, Vemplast, and Vouga Décor .
