BUYER PROJECT BREAKS RECORD RESULTS AT THE II WORLD PLASTIC CONNECTION SUMMIT

During the 4 days of event, 8 actions were made, with over 14 thousand accesses from 67 countries, 577 in-person participants from 317 different companies, 50 awards distributed and 14 global lecturers. The figures reflect the grandeur of the World Plastic Connection Summit 2022, held in November, 7 – 10, at Blue Tree Premium Alphaville, in São Paulo. 

The change from the 100% digital version (motivated by the social distancing required at the peak of Covid-19 pandemic) to the hybrid version (with in-person actions and online transmission), was also observed in the number of business achieved:  US$3 million in the event with expectation of over US$31.7 in the coming 12 months. The 40 international buyers participating in the Buyers Project extended their presence in Brazil to make 48 technical visits. Altogether, the actions with importers recorded 601 new contacts in 788 meetings.  

“It was a very profitable event for us. We are exploring Brazil and its possibilities”, said Alberto Tawil Rosenfeld, buyer of the company Tricor Braun (Mexico).

For Liliana Valle, from the company Cencosud in Chile, the “Project Buyer experience was incredible, due to the organization and the amount of business started. I am impressed by everything they have presented to me, with 95% being exactly what we are looking for in our five countries served”.

Herman Santiago Alvarez Guerra, from Pronaca, Ecuador also considered the meeting to be positive: “Brazilian industry has innovation, sustainability and many new features. I invite everyone to come in 2023 to know this huge possibility in the country”, he said.

The Image Project, on the other hand, invited 4 journalists from three countries, aligned to the international press office, the partnership with Plásticos em Revista and Plástico Virtual media, as well as the promotion, with 119 Brazilian SECOMS worldwide, generated so far the clipping with 72 publications from 8 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, South Korea, USA, India, Mexico, and United Kingdom).

Such good news have already aroused the interest of industries around the world, anxious for the opening of enrollments for this event, considered the most important event for internationalization of the Brazilian processed plastic industry.
