Brazilian company expands international operations in the US, Mexico, and Argentina, drives reverse logistics program with multinationals like Honda, and presents a new visual identity
With the advancement of ESG agendas in the global industry, Ecoboxes — a benchmark in the development of plastic packaging for logistics, storage, and automation — consolidates its business model based on the circular economy. The company, which recycles over 7,000 tons of plastic scrap annually in its own unit, has been transforming waste into new packaging and significantly reducing carbon emissions in the sector.
The company is a member of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics products sector in the internationalization process for target markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute).
Ecoboxes combines state-of-the-art technology for logistics automation with practical reuse initiatives. The use of recycled raw materials by the company provides up to a 60% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to the use of virgin plastic.
“Ecoboxes’ commitment to the circular economy, reflected in the impressive volume of over 7,000 tons of plastic recycled per year, shows how it is possible to unite logistical efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability,” states Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director and Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
Reverse logistics partnership and exchange model
Among Ecoboxes’ solutions is the reverse logistics program, which allows clients to exchange 5 kg of used plastic products for 1 kg of new product. One of the most prominent cases is the partnership with Honda: monthly, around 3 tons of pallets discarded by the automaker are sent to the Ecoboxes Recycling Center. In return, Honda receives new boxes for transporting automotive parts, preventing the emission of more than 2.6 tons of CO₂ per month.
“When we talk about sustainability, we are talking about changing the relationship with materials. What has already been used can be recovered and returned to the production chain,” explains Cristiane Silveira Hernandes, Administrative Sales Manager at Ecoboxes. “Technology is important, but it needs to go hand in hand with environmental responsibility.”
International expansion and new brand
Accompanying the consolidation of its operations in the Americas, with production units in Brazil, Mexico, and the US, in addition to a commercial office in Argentina, the company presents its new visual identity to the market. The redesign reflects the strategic maturation of the brand, aligned with preparations to enter the European market.
With continuous growth since 2014, Ecoboxes reaffirms that the future of the logistics sector depends on efficient processes, continuous reuse of resources, and technologies that reduce environmental impact on the planet.

About INP
Founded in 1989, the Brazilian Plastic Institute – INP arises amid the process of globalization and the need to make the plastic market more competitive internationally. Its strength and representativeness are the results of the union of the Brazilian Processed Plastic and Recycling Industry (ABIPLAST), the Brazilian Association of the Chemical Industry (ABIQUIM), and the Union of Synthetic Resin Industries in the State of São Paulo (SIRESP).
As a sectoral technological body, the INP’s goal is to be the focal point for the entire plastics production chain in Brazil.
