The Brazilian company reinforced its global presence by presenting innovations aimed at food safety and extending product shelf life.
Nanox was present at Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, from May 7 to 13, reinforcing its global footprint and highlighting technological solutions focused on food safety and combating food waste. Founded in 2004, Nanox began its export process in 2011 and currently serves 18 countries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
A member of Think Plastic Brazil — the Brazilian Converted Plastics Export and Internationalization Program, which offers a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics sector in its internationalization process towards target markets, created through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute) — the company’s international trajectory gained significant momentum 10 years ago when it established operations in the United States for production dedicated to the North American market. More recently, three years ago, the company opened a manufacturing plant in Portugal, expanding its supply capacity for the European market.
One of the company’s major competitive advantages lies in its antimicrobial technologies for packaging, which hold food-contact certifications in all the markets where it operates. The solutions developed by the company contribute to greater food safety, product preservation, and extended shelf life—topics of growing relevance for the global food industry.
In addition to its participation at the Brazil Pavilion booth, Nanox was also part of Interpack’s Start Up Zone, an area dedicated to companies focused on technological innovation. During the event, Gustavo Pagotto, co-founder and CEO of Nanox, represented the company in a lecture on food waste, presenting technologies aimed at combating food loss and highlighting the role of innovation in building more sustainable supply chains.
According to Daniel Minozzi, founder and Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Nanox, attending Interpack is strategic for strengthening the company’s presence in the food and packaging market, especially given the new demands related to food safety and extending product shelf life.
“Nanox’s participation enabled connections with visitors from different regions of the world. The booth welcomed representatives from European countries, such as France, Switzerland, and Germany, as well as visitors from South America and more distant markets, such as Pakistan and Japan,” highlights Carlos Moreira, Brazilian Plastic Institute Executive Director & Think Plastic Brazil CPO.
For the company, its presence at Interpack consolidated networking opportunities, brought it closer to international partners, and generated new business, reinforcing Nanox’s position as a benchmark in innovation applied to the packaging and food industry.
Nanox’s solutions can be applied directly into the polymer or as a coating, offering different levels of protection. They act against fungi, bacteria, and viruses, helping to preserve materials, extend product shelf life, and improve surface safety. The technology is versatile and can be adapted to various materials, allowing for customized solutions according to each customer’s specific needs.
