Attentive to the growing industry demand for flexible packaging that combines high performance, practicality, and sustainability, Oben Group—a member company of Think Plastic Brazil, the portfolio of solutions for the converted plastics products sector in the internationalization process, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute)—attended Pack Expo International 2026, held in Chicago (USA) from October 18 to 21. In the West Hall of McCormick Place (Booth W-26110), the company presented its complete portfolio of technical films and customized solutions, anchored on its strategic pillars of Service, Efficiency, and Portfolio.
One of the main highlights of the booth was Terphane® Reseal, a resealable film that combines convenience and preservation by allowing continuous opening and reclosing of the packaging without compromising the original barrier protection. In addition, the company showcased VMAT® technologies and water-based coated films, which deliver high-barrier properties while captivating with a refined finish—providing a velvety feel and high-aesthetic matte visuals (soft-touch).
The Oben Labels® line also held a central position in the presentation, highlighting complete labeling solutions: from pressure-sensitive and wrap-around labels to in-mold labels (IML) and PET shrink sleeves. Engineered to ensure outstanding machinability during converting operations, these films strengthen brand positioning and identity at the point of sale.
By integrating multiple substrates and technological resources, Oben promptly addresses sector demands—ranging from transport safety to the end-consumer experience. Throughout the event, the brand’s specialists engaged in continuous dialogue with converters, brand owners, and industry leaders to explore new opportunities for joint development and co-creation of solutions.
