Think Plastic Brazil

Representatives from Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions that support the plastics manufacturing sector in the industrialization process for target markets through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and INP (National Plastics Institute), visited the world’s largest toy fair, Spielwarenmesse, held in Nuremberg, Germany, on January 30.

“Our aim is to get to know the event, talk to Brazilian companies that are already here, establish contacts with the organization and try to take part in 2025. We’re looking forward to exploring new business opportunities that this prestigious fair can offer,” explains Carlos Moreira, executive director of the National Plastics Institute and project director of Think Plastic Brazil, who was present as a representative of both. The executive director met with Débora Creutzberg, CEO of Berg Eventos, the trade fair’s representative, and with Brazilian entrepreneurs João Pedro and Djalma Lucio Pivetta, from Usual Brinquedos, a member of the organization that already exhibits at Spielwarenmesse.

The event is the global epicentre of the toy market and is recognized as the sector’s main meeting point. There are 2,354 exhibitors from 68 countries on 170,000 m² of exhibition space, where world leaders in the segment present a comprehensive and diverse view of the market.

Divided into 12 pavilions, some of them with more than one floor, the fair covers a wide range of categories, such as: baby and early childhood; dolls; lifestyle; technical, educational and action toys; modeling; school and creative materials; electronic toys; games, books and experiments; sports and outdoor; party goods, carnival and fireworks. Spielwarenmesse receives an average of 57,000 visitors from 125 countries every year.
