From May 7 to 13, Think Plastic Brazil coordinates the participation of a Brazilian delegation at Interpack 2026, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, the world’s leading trade show for the packaging and processing sector. Recognized as the most important event in the Western world in the segment, the meeting brings together about three thousand exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 170,000 visitors from approximately 150 countries, mostly high-level executives and purchasing decision-makers, which reinforces the highly qualified character of the fair.

Think Plastic Brazil is a portfolio of solutions for the converted plastic products sector in the internationalization process for strategic markets, carried out through a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the INP (Brazilian Plastic Institute).

Brazil’s presence at the fair has the central objective of positioning the country on the radar of the largest global packaging consumers, consolidating Brazil as a competitive, innovative, and reliable supplier. Think Plastic Brazil has participated in Interpack since 2005, without interruptions, and reaches its seventh consecutive edition in 2026, strengthening a strategy based on continuous presence and the building of long-term relationships.

The project will bring 16 Brazilian companies to the event gathered at the Brazil Pavilion, an 88-square-meter space that combines individualized service areas with an integrated presentation of the national industry.

The companies will present innovative solutions in rigid and flexible plastic packaging, with a focus on performance, sustainability, circular economy, and production efficiency. Among the highlights are products aimed at high global demand segments, such as pet food packaging, PET disposables, solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, and cosmetic packaging. These segments dialogue directly with the main themes of Interpack 2026, such as Smart Manufacturing and Innovative Materials, which evidence advances in sophisticated materials, monomaterials, renewable-based solutions, and technologies focused on circularity.

In addition to following trends, the Brazilian participation seeks to generate concrete business. In the six previous editions of Interpack, Think Plastic Brazil accumulated more than US$ 64 million in business, considering immediate results and post-event projections. In 2023 alone, Brazilian companies held 624 meetings, which resulted in US$ 1.45 million in business closed during the fair and an additional expectation of US$ 12.6 million in the following months.

For 2026, the goal is to conduct about 480 business meetings, with a forecast of US$ 800,000 in contracts closed during the event and US$ 3.2 million in negotiations over the following 12 months. The focus is on the connection with distributors, representatives, and end-users of packaging, especially those looking for suppliers with production scale, certified quality, and international competitiveness.

“Participation in Interpack significantly expands the international visibility of Brazilian companies and opens new business opportunities in strategic markets. We are taking a qualified group to the event, prepared to meet global demands with innovative and sustainable solutions,” says Carlos Moreira, Executive Director of INP and project director at Think Plastic Brazil.

The initiative seeks to strengthen Brazil’s image as a strategic partner in the packaging sector. The continuous presence at the event contributes to consolidating the international perception of a mature industry, with relevant installed capacity, diversity of solutions, and a complete production chain.

The action integrates the continuous strategy of Think Plastic Brazil to promote the national industry abroad, encouraging exports, attracting investments, and strengthening the image of Brazil as a competitive and innovative supplier in the packaging sector.
